DGT’s 2019 partnerships have led to a variety of unique and compelling resources. We launched Beyond Our Neighbors: A Curriculum for Expanding Empathy and Compassion to “Others,” a toolkit created in partnership with Making Caring Common, a program of Harvard’s Graduate School of Education; we put together a packet on the issue of immigration, with book suggestions, projects and conversations starters for very young children through adults in collaboration with Bright Horizons Foundation and Bright Horizons Child Care Centers; and, in cooperation with the Minneapolis Institute of Art, we offered a workshop and resources to help families use art as an entry point for discussions of complex issues, such as politics, activism, identity, and responsibility.
