ACTIONS

Organize a Costume Drive

One great way to give back is by organizing a costume drive. Many families have gently used costumes that their children have outgrown. Collect these costumes and donate them to families in need, shelters, or community centers.

Create Halloween Care Packages

Consider creating Halloween care packages for your neighbors, especially those who may be elderly or unable to leave their homes. Fill these packages with treats, small decorations, and a handwritten note.

Start Baking

Halloween-themed bake sales can be a hit in any neighborhood. Bake some treats with your family. You could even make some spooky treats like ghost cookies, pumpkin muffins, or witch hat cupcakes and sell them to raise money for a local charity.

Visit a Nursing Home

Spend part of your Halloween visiting a nursing home or shelter in costume. Bring along Halloween treats, decorations, and perhaps even a small performance or story reading session for the residents. You are sure to get smiles from people!

Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

You can order a box from UNICEF for collecting money to help others when you trick-or-treat. What an opportunity to do some good for others while having fun!
